Milan, Italy – The Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Milan, in coordination with the Filipino Community of San Lorenzo, organized a fun-filled Christmas activity called NamamaskoPOLO: Pamaskong Handog Para sa Kabataang Pilipino sa Italya last 04 December 2021. The activity was attended by more than 20 underprivileged Filipino children living in Italy.
The activity allowed the Filipino children to learn more about Filipino festivities and culture through the traditional celebration of Christmas. Father Bong Orsial of the Basilica of San Lorenzo graced the activity and led the gift giving activity of the event. He also thanked the POLO and the Filipino Community of San Lorenzo for organizing the activity.
Labor Attaché Buñag and Welfare Officer Petrona Bergado also addressed the attendees, highlighting the objective of the activity which is to introduce and familiarize Filipino children on Paskong Pinoy. Labor Attaché Buñag also noted that the activity aims to let the children feel the spirit of Christmas amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Aside from prizes and individual gifts, each family was also given Christmas food packs containing traditional Filipino food for Christmas.
